Problems:
The computer will no longer shut down. Currently on the fluxbox menu, when i exit -> shutdown, nothing happens. At all.

Secondly, the wallpapers wont seem to change. I change the theme of the fluxbox menu, and the wallpaper changes along with it, but upon reboot, its back to the same ol' same ol'.

Questions:
When i first booted into antix, i noticed that it was running around 26.x mb of ram. Now, its idling at 36. Now, those 10 mb's aren't THAT important, but was wondering what happened. Could it have been the update that I did?

The boot time, for a distro of its size, seems a bit slow. Is there any way one can increase the boot up time?

This also goes with the above post, what can one remove in order to increase performance? This computer is basically to hop on the net, and occasionally type up a word document.

Thanks for the long read, but, I hope you can help ^_^

Have you upgraded recently?

Post results of (Don't click enter!)

apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade

Also have you removed halevt from /fluxbox/icewmstartup files?

If you do not need wicd for connection, remove it.
