Hi again folks. Trying to print from Sylpheed-Claws I need to enter a print command. How do I find that? Thanks.

Doesn't the default lpr not work?

I came close to having a Command in the early 80s -- a USCG LORAN (Google it) transmitter station located on the Shetland Islands, Scotland. But the Commanding Officer assignment went to a less-technically-qualified Academy graduate.

It doesn't return and"invalid" error message but it doesn't print.

What did you call the printer when you set it up? I think you have to enter that name (the same with printing from xpdf).

Sorry I can't be of more help, but my printer conked out months ago and I cannot test it here.

Maybe someone else can help out.

Thanks for responding but entering the printer name didn't do it. I've googled every way I can think of to find a solution but without success. The Sylpheed-Claws manual doesn't cover it, either. At least not that I can find. Something will turn up eventually. Meanwhile, I can always copy-n-paste to Abiword and print from there.
If you should think of something please post it for me. Thanks.

You know kernel I found this answer some time in the past when printing a pdf file through xpdf, but I can't remember what it was or where I found it.

Maybe try just the lpr command without the % part.

Or try google print xpdf.

Time for υπνο here.

Hey, it is all Greek to me!

By the way, I duplicated the no-print error (perhaps because I have zero Sylpheed experience). No-print from Sylpheed, printed find from IceDove. CUPS.

Thanks anticapitalista. I'll continue to look for solutions and will post it back here if / when I find something.
