For what it's worth, I used ceni tonight with the new antiX-16a1 build - in all persist mode, and it worked just fine, and not only that, the characteristics were remembered when I logged in again. It was not difficult whatsoever, the interface was seen as was the interface that I use in my home. That is the behavior that I've come to expect with ceni. Especially on old gear, it works and it works quickly and effectively with low overhead.

Just tested the new JWM v2.3.5, this version should be soon in Sid, I guess.
Two nice features:
- in ~/.jwm/theme edit
<WindowStyle decorations="flat">

and you have the window title centred.
- Also no prompt"Do you really want to leave the session?" on logout anymore.
- The bug with disappearing task list with vertical panel is still there.

I have observed something that I'm not ready to cite as a defect yet because I have not isolated the cause or the exact configuration. I have the April antiX16 b2 update installed and applied.
I have a USB attached mouse and I also have a synaptics keypad on a relatively new system I purchased, a Dell Inspiron 5558. It is a fast, effective system and it works well, but on antiX I have to be ultra careful or my synaptics configuration goes wild and I cannot get it to work properly.
On antiX 15, after reading articles about synaptics, I was able to run commands to turn the synaptics on or off, and I was also able to configure it various ways, including disabling synaptics when I am typing.
I got this smoothed out reasonably well on antiX 15, but I'm experiencing similar behavior in antiX 16. The reason I don't want to call it a defect yet is because I've not completed every possible configuration change, although some distributions appear to automatically configure synaptics when also present with USB mouse and/or keyboard to automatically disable synaptics when typing - seems like a reasonable thing to do, and it resolves the mysterious and unexpected jumping and moving of the mouse cursor point.
Once I research this more, I'll comment on some possible suggestions, and if I find something that I can document and reproduce as a defect. I'll do so if I feel it will be useful for the community; meanwhile I mention it so - 1. I won't forget to follow up and 2. In case others are experiencing similar things, we can collaborate on what works best.
