Hello, I have installed antix m11 to my multi-boot hard drive and it is quick and seems to work great. I have been searching and reading a little. I can't seem to find how to have the numlock key on when I boot. Can someone tell me how to do this?

One other question...when there is an upgrade; say from beta 1 to beta 2, will I have to re-install?

Thanks,
Harold

edit /etc/slim.conf as root and change"numlock off" to"numlock on" and then save. to edit the file enter run and type:

Code: Select all

gksu leafpad /etc/slim.conf

I think the numlock feature is broken in SLiM. One can install numlockx (and set it to autostart, I think) but I'm not sure how well it's working (last time I read about it it was working but the Num Lock led wouldn't light up).

I have the same issue: when NumLock is on, LED indicator is off - and vice versa.

Is this definitely to do with slim?

At least the workaround is easy __{{emoticon}}__
