All of you hello to use antiX habitually. __{{emoticon}}__

Japan is a country with much the Windows use.
The Japanese had many people using Windows XP until recently.
Part decided transfer to Linux.

Fortunately part was saved in MX-14.
The Japanese use of MX-14 was possible easily.

On the other hand, the Japanese use of antiX is severe.

boot live in antiX-14R-alpha1 in Japanese:

Unicode font including Japanese is not included in antiX.
and setting of the keyboard does not have a choice of Japanese.
The Japanese cannot use antiX in this state!

I wanted to do something about this, and I came here.

I want to support it so that antiX is used for the people of more countries.

Welcome. MX-14 is a very good linux distribution. It is perfect to help teach linux and to replace Win XP.

Welcome to antiX and you are correct in that Japanese is not supported out of the box in antiX (mainly due to size restrictions). However, we can sort it out (remember antiX-14R is an alpha release).

To get Japanese in antiX, you have to install the fonts and then add Japanese to the keyboard. Once you have installed a Japenese font, you should see Japanese in the menu once you have logged out and back in again.

I used antiX-14R by chance in screenshot, but am always in this condition.

Can the problem of the font adopt unicode font?
For example,"fonts-droid" supports some countries.
As for a native language not being displayed, the person of the country suffers from the use.

A problem seems to produce the setting of keyboard somewhere.
After having set a Japanese keyboard by installation, it is not reflected.
Therefore need to edit the configuration file by manual operation occurs now.

But I think that the state to support by the addition of the meta package
is enough for input method and the application.
I grasp the issue of capacity of AntiX.
