Hi,

I was wondering if there's anything special about the antiX kernel. In particular, is there anything added to it that allows it to be used on a"live CD" that wouldn't normally be present in a"stock" kernel?

The kernel used in antiX is a Mepis kernel and it has the aufs file system that allows you to add/remove apps on the livecd, but the changes are not kept once the session has finished.

Thanks, anticapitalista. What about the kernel in Spartacus? Does that also use aufs?

No I'm afraid it doesn't.
