Hi,
Just installed Antix on my Thinkpad T23 and Thinkpad 600X. Before I ran Elive 1.0 and Mepis 6.5 on both machines. Afterwards I installed Enlightenment E17 and it works fine.

There is one thing. It's not possible to get a wireless connection with my Asus wl 107-g pcmcia card (ralink rt2400-rt2500). I checked with synaptic whether the drivers are installed and they are. Starting mnetwork shows that the card is inserted but"connection failed".

Using my Sweex (Atheros) pcmcia-card works fine and connects ok.

Thanks for Antix.

Best regards,

Anton

Welcome to antiX anttel.

The Mepis7 beta series is having problems with the rt2500 cards. See this thread

(and equivalent on Mepislovers).

It should be fixed by doing an upgrade.

Thank you for the reaction.

I did:
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade after the install and it made no difference.

I will wait and do another upgrade when mepis comes as a release. Until then I'll use my Sweex PCMCIA (Atheros) card.

I really like Antix. It gives my Thinkpad 600X a new life!
