I had a problem downloading things with Iceweasel/Iceape because my 1 Mb/s connection would be completely used by the download and I couldn't even browse at the same time. So I needed a download manager and I found

url was:"http://www.downthemall.net/"
linktext was:"DownThemAll"

with its beta version that allows to set a download speed limit.
It works great and is compatible with both Iceweasel and Iceape.

So maybe we could post in this topic some great browser extensions that we use (all browsers allowed). Even if it was posted somewhere else in the history of this forum we could refresh the knowledge of them.

Not a brower extension. But funny you mentioned downloading videos. I sometimes look at what is included in other distros and was looking at Linux Mint 9 KDE. A Program called Miro caught my eye.

So I downloaded it via Synaptic Package manager. Pulled in a bunch of stuff. As usual. I will try something and either break it or get some new neat function.

As you can see. I am downloading from Friendly Fire a Wiki Leaks Video of about 75.7 mb.

Watching Democracy Now (downloaded)

Just a neat alternative application for watching videos Bro. __{{emoticon}}__

Just installed Firefox 4 beta3 via tar.bz2 in /home directory

Icewm Menu entry same for toolbar entry also

Code: Select all

prog"Firefox4" /mnt/sdb1/home/harry/Icons/Firefoxblack.jpg /mnt/sdb1/home/harry/firefox/firefox
Plugins I could find and use for it so far

1. WOT
2. Better Privacy
3. Adblock plus
4.Last Pass
5. Download YouTube Videos as MP4 or FLV 1.0.4 (by Gant)

Fresh few minutes ago install. What I like about it so far.
It's Fast (startup and browsing)
Plays Video/Flash quite well
Picks up my Java Jre6u21 plugin just fine

Negatives
Addons hasn't caught up with it yet (what do you expect. Its beta)
Thinking of uninstalling Feedback addon (comes stock with install) it is a nagger popup.

Happy Trails, Rok
