As you know, GnomeBaker is the default application for burning CDs and DVDs.

I don't like GnomeBaker, because it doesn't verify that the CDs/DVDs were burned properly. Puppy Linux offers PBurn and burniso2cd, both of which offer verification. Unfortunately, I couldn't find these applications in the repository.

What are some viable alternatives to GnomeBaker? I dual-boot Puppy Linux and antiX Linux and use Puppy Linux as my backup OS, but since antiX Linux is my main distro, it would be more convenient to burn CDs without having to reboot and use the other distro.

I use brasero more often than gnomebaker. I'm not sure if it has the verification you want though.

Mostly, I've been using cli and using mkisofs to create an iso file and them wodim to burn it has been working great for me. If you are interested I could post the details.
