As most of you are probably aware, Sakasa has been providing an unlimited supply of wallpaper in a variety of styles.

Choose one you think should be the next default wallpaper for antiX-M8.5 (for either fluxbox or icewm or both) and give a reason why.

I like these

antix-star-path-red

The first two would look with flux's current default theme (the red one). The first would look decent on standard and widescreen monitors.

The blue one is really nice (84630) with a different default theme. It would also look nice with the current default icewm theme.

I like these:

The first one is unique and just appeals to me.

The second one I have used on my old laptop as the default wallpaper, it worked well with my conky, and themes. Which I change occasionally. Looks clean and minimal.

Historically,as short as it has been, antiX has used mostly landscapes for the default. Although they have been very nice they usually not what I prefer. I would be happy with just about anything Sakasa has to offer. He has such a wide variety it would be difficult to choose just one.

As a first response, I'd go for something like"antix golden lines" (5/184) or"antix uvases" (145/184).

The reason is that default wallpaper should be rather bold but simple. Users probably change their wallpaper fairly soon anyway, so the default is something to create an initial impression. The two I mention are not too"busy" but do create an effect or mood. Just my taste...

I wonder whether there should eventually be an identifiable antiX logo. (Or is it an"X"?)

First I have to say that I couldn't really make a thorough search because I made it in a place with a quite slow connection.

Sakasa, some days ago I started to do it and your site had 4 thumbnails per page and they showed all the wallpaper. That was better to choose from but unfortunately I didn't have the time to download them then.
Now your site is showing three thumbnails per page and they show only part of the wallpaper so it's impossible to have an idea about the image unless one opens its individual page. If one has a good connection that's not a problem but I hadn't so I picked some more or less randomly, downloaded them and came home to make a choice.

This is what I found:

Fluxbox:
would have to pick some beautiful image and find a matching theme, maybe beyond the ones that come currently with antiX (there are some more in Fluxbox Debian's package but since I have no net I couldn't make this kind of matching search).

Special mention for individual wallpapers:
86490-AntiX EaGaBa3.jpg # this one has a magic feature of going well with almost any theme, either in IceWM or Fluxbox.

I am going to leave the choice to Sakasa. He has been busting his butt making these fine wallpapers. Call me a ass kisser. I don't care. But I think he deserves to pick the default look for 8.5. I trust him.

I think it is kinda ironic I voted in this as the reason I am here at present time is to research changing default wallpapers in themes. __{{emoticon}}__

I'm going to vote with rokytnji. I think it's a great suggestion. Let sakasa decide.
