Dell Pentiun D dual core 3.0ghz 2gb ram nvidia 7900gs video card

I want to dual boot antix m11 with ubuntu-10.04
Ubuntu uses grub 2 as the boot manager

I have read that m11 boot loader cannot be install to / partition ???
If so then how do I install boot manager and still utilize Ubuntu grub 2 as the boot manager.

I now have 3 other distro's with boot manager on / partitions using ubuntu grub 2 as primary boot manager.

In antiX-M11 grub can be installed to root partition. (broken at the moment in antiX-M12-test)
