Just posted a new style and conky config for download at kde-look.org. I posted this look as a screenshot quite awhile ago on this forum but reworked the style and cleaned it up quite a bit. I prefer simple monochromatic wallpapers but once in awhile I need a change....a little jolt of color.

The style is my fluxbox adaptation of serVI's blackbox style (posted at deviantart.com). serVI approved of my variation and told me
"Nice to see my style in another context: fluxbox. I never tried this style on Linux. I didn't know it will look so nice."

serVI creates great styles for blackbox for windows. My style adaptations are for my amusement and learning curve but are spreading the word about antiX. The Royal Red antiX style has had almost 600 downloads. Many are probably downloading for the style (not the wallpaper or conky config) but in the process are getting an exposure to antiX.

Here is a screenshot. Image

Very well done. It looks like the type of theme you see posted at freshmeat. I love what you did with conky.

Impuwat --

Very, very cool desktop theme. I downloaded it and will try it out.

Got a question, though: One of the coolest aspects of this is the fact that the system information runs across the top. I know that probably has something to do with changing the .conkyrc file, but how exactly did you do that?

You have to edit the .conkyrc and put all the information on one or two lines.

I'll open a thread for people to post their conkyrc's and screenshots.

As Anti stated you compress the conky info you want displayed into one or two lines. Modifying conky is fairly easy. Open the .conkyrc included in the download and look at the last two lines of text. Compare that with the .conkyrc file included with antiX and it will become clear to you how to make format changes in conky.

The configuration included in this download is set up for 1024x768. It might take a little tweaking for other resolutions.

Thanks for the compliments...I appreciate the encouragement. I enjoy learning about and developing styles in fluxbox for antiX...so you will probably see others posted.
