I wasn't sure where to post this, but I noticed there wasn't a Facebook page, or IRC channel (finally found the freenode IRC channel for antiX)for antiX so I made a Facebook page. I hope that's ok. There is however, a Facebook group for antiX but I don't think it's very active. I waited like a week to be added to the group. Anyways so here's the link to the Facebook page:

Official IRC channel for antiX
Server: irc.freenode.net
Channel name: #antiX

I'm just trying to help promote and help in any way I can for the antiX community and since social media is such a big thing these days, it doesn't hurt to have a little more exposure. It's also just another way for more antiX users to connect and share. For all tech support related issues, I will redirect people to this forum. I have the main website and forum links on the Facebook page as well as the distrowatch link for people who are new to antiX or have never heard of it.

Welcome wavrydr! Thanks for pitching in!

We already have an antiX irc channel on freenode. I'm there now but will be going out soon. I don't facebook. I'm not sure we want a facebook page for antiX. It's not up to me. The devs are busy now trying to get antiX-17 out the door so they may be less responsive on the forums.

Oh ok I didn't know there was an IRC channel already. I looked online for one but didn't find anything and it wasn't listed on the main antiX website. And for some reason, I can't access freenode. There's already a Facebook group for antiX but I didn't make it. I just made the page. And it's not an"official" page. Its just for general information with links that redirect back to the website and this forum. Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I can figure out how to get on freenode again. I used to be registered on that server years ago. Recently I registered a nick on freenode but every time I would log on, it said"SASL authentication successful" and then suddenly disconnected and then said"you must identify with SASL on this server." So i don't know what the deal is with that. I searched for solutions online and tried everything including different IRC clients, and still it's giving me the same error message. My nick is registered with freenode though. I just can't seem to connect so I gave up

I finally got on freenode with a mobile app called IRC Cloud! It's the only thing I could find that would successfully connect to freenode out of all the desktop and mobile apps I tried.

tip: in case you use an addon to block 3rd-party requests (I use 'RequestPolicy' addon), must permit connections to recaptcha.net
Worked for me last I checked (2016? #debianfork #devuan ?)
