Help me please! I'not a good computer user!
I forgot my password for an old laptop with AntiX so could'n use it for a long time.
I was thinking to change to Mint 13 Xfde and made the DVD with Mint.iso.
Can't start from DVD for the installing procedure.
I've tried to change te boot sequence but alwys AntiX from the earlier time comes up.
What's wrong?

Laptop is an Amilo Fujitsu/Siemens CD with old Antix not yet found. Nothing found on this forum.

Thanks!

I think I did do that but still AntiX coming up.

I'm sure: boot seq: 1 Cd 2 usb 3 lan 4 HD
Still AntiX coming up and no CD-linux installation

Awful!

Cd would'not eject when Antix is on.
Can only remove Cd before Bios is coming up.

Are you sure you burned the cd correctly?

I'm moving this to a more appropriate place.

Amilo Fujitsu
Are you sure it can boot from DVD? Sounds pretty old to me without details.

I could make another laptop complete Mint with this CD (after the problems with the Amilo)
So; CD is OK, the Cd-station isn't working or defect.

so if the cd drive isn't working then you will have to install mint on a usb stick and boot form that. You can't blame antiX for your cd device not working.
