I have tried Antix on an old Dell laptop and an old PIII. The response reminds me of the days before KDE and Gnome. I started linux with SuSE 6.0 and I haven't been happy since 9.0

Quick technical question: Since I am not at all familiar with Mepis, how can I install the gcc c++ compiler? P.S. I don't have a connection to the net from the Antix system. I have to visit a net cafe for my information overdose.
