__{{emoticon}}__ Installed Antix 8.5 base on my eee701. Can't login as root. When attempting to do so after a few seconds returns to login screen. When installing software using exoodles software isn't found when attempting to run from a terminal command and a link to the software isn't created in the Fluxbox menu. After reboot goes to terminal login and am unable or not shure how to start GUI. Is there an Antix manual out there that I've yet to find?

Not good practice to login as root, you can use root within user session.

If you insist, then you will have to copy the /xinitrc file in user folder to root folder.
