I have just been playing with AntiX for a short time , but I'm kinda hooked on it for my old T22 thinkpad and a couple older p3 and Athlon machines.
I'm an Auto Mechanic by trade , but I love to fix/build/tweak computers in my spare time.
My main unit has been running Debian Lenny since it was testing.
I did my moms machine a couple weeks ago with Mepis 8.5 so she wouldn't have to virus scan so much and call me for crash repair.
I've got 1 Mepis machine and 3 AntiX machines here at the present and they all run pretty well.
Just spent a couple days fidling with conky and that has been pretty fun.
Well , thanks for all your hard work and maybe I can help someone out from time to time.
I sure have gotten some great info here so I figured I'd join and get with the program.

I am a ex-shadetree mechanic (new cars not as easy to fix as they use to be)... __{{emoticon}}__ Welcome to antiX.. Good Luck with all those machines.

I was a shade-tree mechanic until I pulled a plug wire off a plug and didn't realize the metal tip broke of the plug wire. Put my socket wrench down in there and the metal tip from the wire separated the socket from the wrench. That was about it until my battery died in my Frontier. That was easy to replace. The battery in my wife's Golf - not a chance: too many electronics.
