Hi all,

I switched to antix 8.5 recently and its breathed a new lease of life into my old poverty spec laptop where ubuntu nr,lubuntu etc had failed miserably! (its an advent 7000 for any techies on here)

Well done to the developers for creating such a good distro-with only 256mb of ram i had it running iceape, the control center, the android sdk and it was still zipping along!

On a side note,i managed to change the colour of my conky display to red, which is fine if I turn it off and on again, but on reboot it always defaults back to the default bluey-grey colour unless i turn conky on and off again. How can i make it stay red on boot-up?

Thanks for reading

Howdy and Welcome Derry.

Open pcmanfm and view hidden files and go to .conkyrc and change to red, (like open with leafpad or geany), like you did through control center and geany.

Hello derryt,

Welcome to antiX, make sure your editing the correct conky, open antiX control center and click on Edit System Monitor

and make your changes there and save them, then logout and see if the changes will stick.

cheers,

Cheers for the replies guys, I'm away from my laptop at the moment so I'll try the pcmanfan method when I get home.

Thanks again
