Thanks a lot for your welcoming! But my english is only poor and if possible I would like to speek in german (sorry). I'm a bloody beginner with"linux" and"old- timer" means only my physical olderness. In the most computer thinks I'm absolutely not experienced (hope, with your help, this will going better now) and i wish to find a way to install this free software. First I like to install antiX on my 17 Year old"amd- athlon"(this one is only my writing machine without net), with an 1ooo MHz speed and 1,5 ram and a 30 GHz harddisc. For the first time parallel with"win xp". there are many questions, for example: Is it necessery to take a new partition on the"hdd"?

No need to make a new partition if you are not going to keep Windows XP on the entire hard drive. Just pick install to entire disk.

Go to youtube and watch Dolphins_Oracle well made videos on installing antix.
