topic title: Hi from a newbie. How do I start the live demo?

Hi all,

I downloaded the version 12 iso and burned it to DVD. I popped it into the tray and everything is trying to boot up just fine. However, when it gets to the login and password, I typed demo for both. Then it asks this: demo@antiX1: ~$

What's that?

Quick Tips

Login as 'demo', password = 'demo'.
For root access, password = 'root'. Please do not login as root. It is totally unnecessary.

a command prompt ... kind of surprised it boots to a prompt, it really should just chug along into a GUI, but I have never used the live demo
