I have just tried a live cd of antix and am very impressed. I have been looking for something to run on my old notebook for sometime and antix seems to fit the bill. My problem though is that the cd rom will only read professionally pressed cd's so I need a method of install. I have a single usb port, a floppy drive and access to a network via win98 and a usb ethernet card.
Can anyone help me with this ???

Can you boot from usb on your notebook?

If you can then you could use the usb device to install from. To see how:

========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://antix.freeforu ms.org/install-to-usb-stick-as-livecd-t805.html"
linktext was:"http://antix.freeforu ms.org/install-to- ... -t805.html"
====================================
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false

There is also a way to boot from the iso on a hard-drive, but you need a separate partition for this. I haven't tried this on a Windows box though.

Any reason why you have antiX-M7 Lysistrata?
The newest version is antiX-M7.7 Toussaint Louverture.
