I have to admit to being partial to Quanta Plus and Bluefish for a spot of html editing.

But I don't want to install a load of libraries and other stuff which they will require.

Anyone recommend any useful html editors?

Currently looking at Komodo Edit, looks good.

There's Amaya and kompozer; they shouldn't bring in too much. I haven't really tried Amaya and kompozer doesn't keep my code lined up though, so it's a bit of a mess. I also use kate in mepis. I have used leafpad too in antiX, but it's only a text editor, and doesn't identify code, so I'm interested in what others use too.

I've always struggled with Amaya, never managed to grasp it but I'll give it a go.

Komozer has tempted me in the past but to be honest it's crashed on 80% of the distros I've tried.

I have been using Kompozer for quite some time now. So far problem free. I must add that I use it for writing poetry so it is primarily used for text.

Kazé is working on KompoZer 0.8 at the moment and there are alpha versions available. There are details on the
