Well, I finally made my own icewm theme. Sort of. Like many themes available on the net, I just found some themes that I liked and blended them together. Here is what I have so far:


I'm still not sure about some of the icons and this is not yet a complete theme with gtk2 theme, icon set, and wall, but it gives you an idea of what the final product might look like.

Note: Someone did something similar to this at box-look and called it something like icestudio, but there are quite a few differences between the two themes.

Looking good John. Take a look a the Gartoon icon set, kind of funky looking.

I really like the standard icewm theme with M7.5. The colors are perfect for me. I like wallpapers with some color and this one works well. Here is a XMMS skin I found that is a nice match.

Thanks. For the default 7.5 theme, I simply changed a few icons and lightened the menu background a bit. The skin you found does work well.

I like it! The menu looks good but is plain and simple.

Thanks, everyone. I just changed to folder icon - it's still a muted black but opens at the top instead of the side; the folder is from the oxygen refit 2 black version icon set. I'm thinking of using other icons from the set to round out the icewm theme. I also want to change the window border a bit - maybe make it thicker. Haven't decided on whether it would be rounded or not. Some other things to think about are: do I want to make a version with a dark menu and do I want animated window buttons? Once I get it finished I'll post some more screenshots. I'm putting together a complete theme right now, so I don't want to give too much away here...

The theme is mostly complete. I like the folder icon that I'm using in the menus. I'm not so sure about the icons in the taskbar. I think they should have some blue accents to coordinate with the start button and workspace button. And I'm still a little unsure about those. Anyway, look here for the current screenshot:
