Is there a way to install version 8.5 without entering the GUI? Because going into the live CD, and clicking"install" in the menu after 45 seconds it asks me the password, and then nothing. I also waited half an hour, but nothing, nothing appears. __{{emoticon}}__

thanks for help me! __{{emoticon}}__

This is weird. What is you hardware?
there is no non-gui installer.

There is another lightweight distro based on Debian Squeeze called Crunchbang Statler. This has a very easy to use text installer. It is a little different though, uses openbox + tint2 but with a lot of Gnome apps including gnome-networkmanager. As long as your machine is fast enough (doesn not take much but alittle more power than what antiX supports) this is easier to run for a newbie. I use this on my eee701 as that has the resources + I need easy/reliable wifi access

I think, (been awhile since I have done a fresh install) , Anti even incorporated a cli install option also in AntiX 11 Base and Full Iso grub menus also. It won't be in 8.5 (though I seem to remember a 8.5 core iso also) but is included in AntiX 11.
