Hi there. I need some help. I like antiX and i was using it in an pc, now i'm moving to hp t5725. But the main problem is the 512mb flash(that i would like to use), can't get any usual distro in there.
Is there any way to install/create a antiX in there? only need the base system, will be a nfs/samba server, with X to get some adicional applications.
thanks!

There is a iso2usb script posted here somewhere. Just do a search for it and if you don't find it post again, I'm sure someone will post it for you.

512mb might be a little small to be usable. antiX should install there but not a whole lot else will fit.

antiX-base will fit easily on the stick. antiX-full might fit, but as eriefisher pointed out, there won't be much room for anything else.
Also it will be running as a liveusb, not installed. Any changes you make will be lost on next reboot.

I Installed AntiX to a flash drive, I had to use 2 flash drive though. One was a 2 gig pendrive and I used Unetbootin and the AntiX iso to make a live bootable USB, I used the full Antix instead of base because I was going to install to a 8gig Flashdrive. The principle should work the same though for like a CDOM to USB install.

I just made sure the destination drive was formatted as Ext2 file system with no swap and flagged as boot using Gparted. I then ran the installer. (I have no experience yet with base as to know how installer is on that version). Just make sure you you identify the drive letter for the USB correctly for destination of install. Tell installer to"preserve data in /home if upgrading" by checking that checkbox. IceM helped me with that one.

When asked where to install grub say the MBR of Flash drive you are installing. You can refer to my post on installing to external flash drive below for How I had to edit AntiX boot/grub.menu.lst to make the flash drive bootable on a computer with other operating system installed. I struggled with it for a couple weeks but I came up with a solution on page 2 of the thread so go through the whole thread before you try anything/ Good Luck

As people said, you would have to have a live system since antiX full installed takes about 1,3 GB of space (the base version something less).
To be fair with you (in my modest experience), you could try Puppy Linux:
