Von der Homepage habe ich teamviewer 12 als deb- sowie als tarball geladen. Die Installation mit dpkd meldete, folgendes: Und die von Teamviewer angegegebene Variante ohne Installation funzte auch nicht.

viele deutschsprachige Nutzer tummeln sich, fürchte ich, hier nicht. __{{emoticon}}__ Meine eigenen Erfahrungen mit Teamviewer liegen weit zurück. Doch scheint mir das Scheitern (oder besser: die Unvollständigkeit) der Installation klar auf der Hand zu liegen: Es fehlen schlicht die in der Meldung aufgelisteten Abhängigkeiten. Mit dem Befehl kannst Du die erforderlichen Pakete bequem nachinstallieren. Anschließend sollte sich Teamviewer korrekt starten lassen.

Danke erstmal für die Antwort. Ich dachte, ich bin auf einem deutschsprachigen Forum.
apt-get .. f geht nicht, weil es eine lokale Datei ist. Außerdem hatte ich die Abhängigkeiten kontrolliert, alles vorhanden.

Soll ich das ganze noch auf Englisch anfragen?

Hm, also bei mir hat noch letzthin der"apt install -f" Befehl auch bei einem externen .deb-Paket (Midori) für die Nachinstallation von zwei fehlenden Abhängigkeiten gesorgt.

Aber gut, ich habe mir mal interessehalber die"portable" Tarball-Version heruntergeladen und entpackt. Anschließend konnte ich (unter antiX-16) den Teamviewer ohne jede weitere Installation problemlos starten – ich bin dazu im Terminal ins teamviewer-Verzeichnis gewechselt und habe"./teamviewer" ausgeführt. Wenn das bei Dir so wirklich nicht klappt: Wie lauten hier eventuelle Fehlermeldungen?

Thanks, SamK – to be frank, I never had expected Teamviewer to be in the Meta Package Installer.

@alwi: Ja, eine Besonderheit von antiX ist der Meta Package Installer, der viele vorbereitete Installationsroutinen bietet, so auch für Teamviewer. Damit sollte die Installation hoffentlich klappen. Außerdem steht dort auch eine alternative Anwendung namens 1-to-1 Assistance zur Verfügung.

Thanks for your answers. Both look interesting! But since 90 min ago, the laptop was picked up from here and I was in a hurry over many hours. I installed Antix for a friend of mine. It was the only OS that I could install. CPU and RAM were not so bad, but either the installation breaks or a special package was not in the repos or was to old. Teamviewer should help to manage problems over the distance.
1-to-1-assistence looks very good, I listened to the youtube video, but can only understand a slower english with exact pronunciation. I would prefer it instead of Teamviewer, if the settings are smooth enough. Does it work with other distros? I had not time to understand it really. I myself find my actual IP but on the other end not.
I use an Arch system with Plasma. Sometimes I have contact to an Antix installation, things ar nearly different for me.
Folks who want help me - please wait with an answers about teamviewer until I ask again. Therefor I have to sit in front of the old machine to find out what is missing.
Informations about 1-to-1-assistence are wellcome.

I-to-1 Assistance works very well on modern and ancient hardware. It was tested successfully (and still works) on a laptop manufactured approx 1997.

Your post reveals your English is quite good, so read the user guide. You will be able to take that at your own pace rather than trying to understand the quickly spoken words in the video.

If you want to speak with the other person while you are sharing their desktop, have a look at 1-to1 Voice. It is a companion application to 1-to-1 Assistance. A user guide is also available for it.

The easiest way to use them is where both systems are running antiX. This lets 1-to-1 do all the hard work for you (setting up the security, handling the certificates, adjusting the screen size, etc).

It is possible to set up a connection with a non antiX system, providing it has all the software which underpins 1-to-1. Of course you then have to take care of configuring everything yourself manually. That might be quite complicated to do depending on the level of expertise of both the user and you. It is not something I am willing to become involved in.

If both systems are running antiX, it is very easy to run 1-to-1 Assistance and 1-to-1 Voice and talk the other person through the changes you make to their system, all in real time.

A problem has just been found which prevents both 1-to-1 apps installing cleanly. A fix is already being uploaded to the repo and should be available in the next day or two. If you have had problems, try using the Meta Package Installer again.
