here it works, but the app doesn't receive focus until you let go of the keys. you can watch the selected app change in the toolbar. I have no idea if that is standard jwm behavior or not. seems weird though.

edit:

if you change this code:

Code: Select all

<Key mask="A" key="Tab">nextstacked</Key>
to

Code: Select all

<Key mask="A" key="Tab">next</Key>
then pressing alt+tab will cycle windows without having to let go of the alt key. each press of alt-tab will bring up the next window in cycle.

Hi dolphin, I tried 'next' and 'nexstacked' in my .jwmrc, but no joy.
It's a pity, I am gonna try a different keyboard...

First let me say that it works perfectly in IceWM but not in JWM.

In jwm I switched to different usb ports for my kbd - no joy.

Then I used a different keyboard, nothing! same problem. It works in icewm but not jwm. anybody with the same problem?

make sure to restart jwm for changes to .jwmrc to take effect.

Yup, thanks bud, I am beginning to suspect the problem is my hd. I got so many different distros that with time, the meta-crap is not allowing me to function. Thanks oracle.
