Hi all,

I tried to create a JWM-theme. It's called EveningGlow (or perhaps antiX-EveningGlow). I tried to make use of the special 'glow-in-the-dark' effect that a jwm-theme can have. I've attached the theme and matching wallpaper here. Perhaps there are other antix-users also using/making interesting jwm-themes?

Love this theme, made me rethink the potential of this window manager. Your setup is looking very good, and I look forward to seeing a version of antix with JWM. Do not have a theme to put forward, but have edited the antiX menu scripts to work for your jwm setup. Refer to the other post for details on this.

Thanks! I saw your post! I am trying to install your menu-update script at this moment. It's greatly appreciated __{{emoticon}}__

I also tried to create a jwm-theme that goes well with the default wallpaper in antiX (Dolph). It's called MorningLight (or antiX-MorningLight), and I used different shades of grey/blue-grey.

I hope you like it. Greetings everyone!

As this seems to be the thread for potential JWM Themes, here is my offering based on Clearlooks.

SamK,

It's a real good looking theme. I see that JWM displays icons properly on your screen. On my computer lighter themes of jwm give blury icons. It's better in Icewm. I 've also created a more exotic theme, called 'HotAfternoon' that goes very well with more colourfull wallpapers in antiX like SunsetInFrontOfMe, Fiord and Sunset. I think I will stop theming for a while, but I enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks, it tends to be the theme I use on all distros wherever possible.

Just a thought, is this related to the size of the icon chosen. I have seen similar effects in the past as a result of selecting 16x16 or 24x24 and using them in place of larger sizes. I now tend to use scalable or 48x48 as they produce better results when scaled down, rather than starting with small and scaling up.

OK I have no other themes for consideration so perhaps this part of readying JWM is complete.

SamK,

I tried all kind of things to improve the display of icons in JWM, including the things you mentioned. Nothing worked until I installed the newest version of JWM from Debian Sid. Your post about the newest version of JWM on the forum, lead me to give it a try. The newest version gives a good display of icons. It looks much better now.
