Hi,

Not sure if this is the correct place on the forum for this.

Was researching how to install KDE4.2 Beta on Antix, as Antix is based on Debian/Mepis i was searching the debian blogs and came across the following.
Will be KDE 4.2 beta 1 uploaded to experimental? Or to another public repository?
No.
Here is the link to the full blog.

So according to my understanding the only way to get 4.2beta on Antix is to compile from source.

Also Could not find anything on the Sidux forums.

Is any one aware of any other methods?

If debian will not put Kde4.2 or any package in the experimental repos there must be a good reason. The only other means I could think of would be converting rpm's (if available) but that would bring it's own problem.
