Latest libfm0 and libfm-gtk0 will break pcmanfm. Either wait until latest pcmanfm gets upgraded or, if you have already got bitten, revert to using libfm0 and libfm-gtk0 from Testing.

Code: Select all

~$ apt-cache policy pcmanfm
pcmanfm:
  Installed: 0.9.7-1
  Candidate: 0.9.7-1
  Version table:
 *** 0.9.7-1 0
        500 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ testing/main i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Is the latest I am running on any of my EEEPCs. apt-get dist-upgrade was last weekend Anti. Thanks for the heads up.

That is the latest pcmanfm available in the repos. A dist-upgrade in Sid will break it though.

My /etc/apt/sources.list is probably different than others though.

Code: Select all

If you are not using sid/unstable repos, you should be ok to upgrade.

Well, I had seen that libfm had been updated and assumed it was fixed but it isn't really.
In my main system I use libfm 0.15 and pcmanfm 0.9.9 from git and they work very well.
libfm 0.14 was made to work with pcmanfm 0.9.8 and really doesn't work with pcmanfm 0.9.7.
I'll roll back to libfm 0.12 again in my stock sid and hold it again until they decide to upgrade both libfm and pcmanfm at the same time.

This actually broke for me in testing. I had libfm 0.12-1 and pcman 0.9.7 installed and it broke, so I just upgraded libfm to 0.14 and manually upgraded pcmanfm to 0.9.8 or something.
