Hi,

Me and my Gimp made some logos.
The logo use Mepis color scheme and pyramid inspiration with a X in a A.
You can use it where you want, it's under CC By Sa 3.0





What do you think about it?
If you like it i can make a SVG version with better quality.
If you want something specific, just tell me and i'll try to do it. __{{emoticon}}__

Those are very similar to one I came up with a few years ago. I tried to allude to the pyramids in he original Mepis logo. Below is a very rough draft (which is all I made). I think the difference in height needs to be increased, the angles improved, etc.

But I am not too artistic. So take my post with a grain of salt. Like the joker said in the BatMan movie. Which applies to me.

So I leave the artistic ideas up to the skilled ones, being the peasant I am.

I don't get your idea you want this astro boy with the antix logo mixed with fluxbox logo?

Maybe this one needs more work to be noticeable on low resolutions.

@raiden, I had originally tried logos with a big"X" like you're doing but I didn't like them because a big"X" is a universal symbol for"No!" That is why I ended up with a simpler logo that has a more subtle X. I like your first two logos because the"X" is more subtle so they don't shout"No!"

Of course, I like the approach I ended up with even better. I think it would work really well on wallpaper and as a favicon and so forth.

I think you're right so i went to another path.
Antix is antique right? So what about something antique like a stone (shape A) with an X in the middle and the I like the sun, i think it looks really cool.

Oh, I see. I misunderstood. I thought you were making an MX logo because it looked so much like my MX logo. Since MX was formed by combining Mepis and antiX, maybe it would be best to stay away from Mepis themes in making an antiX logo.

BTW: antiX is pronounced"antics" and is meant to be playful.

Honnestly i want to make logos, so i can do it for MX or antiX.
Your logo is very simple and clear, a good point. But i think you don't need me to improve it if you want to keep this spirit.

So i did a MX logo just for fun. You have the M you have the X and a ... volcano-pyramid?.

All this icons can be use by tools around MX too.

I am going to keep this on file. I have a lot of Sakasa's old work a ,>good friend and artist for AntiX is the past< ,on file that he lost. But my images are small that I saved like 677x?
that were previews of AntiX wallpapers on the sites he used to host on. But left after time went by.

I have approx. 30 or 40 I saved I guess. Maybe more. __{{emoticon}}__
