Hello community...

I've been messing around with Linux for more than ten, of my fifty five years, but only recently would actually call myself a"user". Still very much a noob as far as knowing how to solve problems. I totally rely on forums and wikis whenever I run into problems.

AntiX is now installed on my ThinkPad X40 booting from a CF card in the HDD slot. In the past I've enjoyed Puppy Linux on this machines, but did not like how difficult Puppy is to keep up to date, and the small variety of packages available. Plus I wanted to run tp_smapi and would have had to compile the kernel myself to do that. I'm most comfortable with Debian and apt-get, so I have installed AntiX again, following several honorable mentions on the CrunchBang forum. Another distro I've used off and on for a few years.

Already run into a few problems, but will save them for other areas of the forum...
