So is there a way to install my reconfigured Antix 16.2 to a partition on the hard drive.

If just the icon is missing, you can invoke the installer using the command: sudo minstall

weird. i ran the full version with kvm and FASTEST BOOT EVER.

thats not the weird part. the weird part is my install icon links to /usr/share/applications/antixsources.desktop --which in turn is a desktop link to: sudo antixsources.sh

edit: which lets you configure sources and then calls minstall.

Yes, jbander, is better served by invoking sudo antixsources.sh
It's a wrapper script which first asks you to choose"stable repository or testing repository" then proceeds to launch minstall.

thanks for clearing that up, i am utterly, utterly new at this distro-- unless there is a really old version that used kde 3.5, in which instance hello again.
