Anyone know how to go about removing any software installed by the"Meta-Installer" AFTER it's been installed??

ie: I install a few different DE's etc, have a play, decide that 1 i like, but the other two i don't and want to remove them...... how is this done?

Are the packages"Meta-Packages"? If so, is there a list somewhere of the names of the metas, so that i can remove via apt? Or do i have to use synaptic?

Thanks for any help/pointers etc. __{{emoticon}}__

Djinn:

There is no easy way to uninstall stuff that you installed using the meta-installer. You could try synaptic, or apt-get but careful with apt-get removing dependencies that you might need for other things.

Hi Pedro. __{{emoticon}}__

OK, thanks for the warning, much appreciated. I thought there may be some way of removing them"As a whole" kind of thing, which is why meta-packages would have made sense. But no problems. I'm more than happy with my antiX 8 with fluxbox, so i've decided to keep this system clean and as"Install Free" as possible, and leave all the testing to VirtualBox sessions..... where it's a lot safer. __{{emoticon}}__
