Hi antix-friends,
I tried to watch different videos, like avi, wmv, mpeg, flv with the different media players of antix. Sound and everything is okay, but I can't get full screen in none of them. That means the screen gets big, but the video window itself stays small, in the same size it started with. Is there any way of configuration for this, or does it depend on the capacity of the processor? It's only 128 mb ram and 700 mhz (pentium 3). The other question: I can play youtube videos with sound, but no internet radio. Do I need a certain plugin for it?

about the video size you have to set the video output to xv. for mplayer either go in to the preferences or edit ~/.mplayer/config and add this line in the file.

but no internet radio
I went with pianobar for internet radio because of no commercials and it is a terminal only application like cclive.
You have to have a pandora radio account to use it though. My radio stations.

pianobar is in synaptic package manager. I blare this radio through a pioneer amplifier in my Motorcycle shop when I am working. It takes no cpu or ram usage and can be ran from urxvt terminal also.

If ice-m's suggestion doesn't work it might be because you need to install a driver. Alternatively use gxine/xine instead for video.

qmmp should be set up to play interner radio via streamtuner.

Hi my dear helpers,
thank you for your answers. I got the fullscreen now after following ICE-M's instruction. And the internetradio on"mediayou.net" started to play without doing anything, but just being patient a little bit. So all these problems are solved. Greetings, Susanne

Is there a difference between multimedia and intermedia majors? Someone told me about a multimedia major in college, a major where you focus a lot on digital art, computer and web programming, as well as sound. Is there a difference between multimedia and intermedia?
