I've been"playing" with Linux for a few years now. Used MX-14, 15 and 16 and now going through the learning curve of antiX-17.

My computers are almost entirely Panasonic Toughbooks. There's about 35 of them scattered around here. CF-M34, 48, 72, 73, 27 (DOS radio programmer), 28, 29, 30, 31, 51, 52, 53 (daily user is a MK2), 19, and FZ-G1 tablet. I don't have a desktop anymore.

I have W7 in two....one CF-31MK2 I occasionally use and my wifes CF-30MK2.

Started using Linux 'cause I couldn't afford COA,s. Mint 8 I think.

I post as SHEEPMAN! on Notebookreview/Panasonic and toughbooktalk dot com.
Thanks to Dolphin for his videos. Fun.

Since I prefer to figure things out myself there are some hilariously ignorant posts in those two forums. Ignorance is fortunately curable. __{{emoticon}}__

Hi to all from a senior citizen of Scotland.  Am here to say hello as I have just installed antiX  16.2 386 full  to keep an ancient IBMT42 going until the right replacement is found.

Been using openSUSE since version 8.0 but recent releases too much for this device so I came here having learnt about antiX from Linux Format magazine article.   (Recently bought some RPis for grandchildren and of course had to have one myself,  (for educational purposes of course!) so I am kind of used to the Debian roots which are shared with antiX.

System installed with only one hitch and picked up my existing /home without a problem.  Great work and thanks to all.  Will post my problems and demonstrate my total ignorance and fact that I have no computing knowledge separately as they occur.

Best wishes to all on forum.
