OpenSCAD's"stable" source release is over 2 years old, and misses significant features, so I had to download and manually install a"nightly" git package, this works much better and just confirms my wonderful warm feeling about such a powerful and addictive package, (there is something about seeing your code become a physical thing....)

anyhoo, while the deb I manually downloaded is probably fine, and works well with the dependencies that the ancient version of OpenSCAD dragged in, but it would be *really* super nice if there were an"official" antiX git version of OpenSCAD, is there anywhere where I can suggest this or is this the place ?

shame no one seems interested in this, OpenScad must be about the easiest way for creating stuff for your 3d printer, brill piece of software...

You could have helped by providing a link to the git repo or deb you used.

You can follow the instructions here:
========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://www.openscad.org/downloads.html#snapshots"
linktext was:"http://www.openscad.org/downloads.html#snapshots"
====================================
, to add the OpenSUSE build service (OBS) Debian 8 repository.
