hi,..
i got trouble with the package 'transcode' <--needed for various dvdriptools (e.g.K3b)

Check your /etc/apt/sources.list and see if you have the debian multimedia repos enabled.

Try using
aptitude install transcode

and accept the first 'solution' (unless it rips out a lot of course)

Maybe the slash at the end of

aptitude is a great tool.
Use it ir apt-get or synaptic, but don't use them interchageably as their *might* be some problems with dist-upgrade sometime in the future.
