Hello!

I have just installed AntiX from the live-CD, but have run into a problem. I was unable to log in, so since my keyboard layout is swedish, I typed my password in the username field just to see if all symbols could be displayed. And like this I found that one of the symbols I had chosen during the installation, called a"currency symbol" (¤), can't be written with the new keyboard. I don't know what to do, and would be thankful if anyone could help.

Hi,

at boot menu, try adding to the options by typing
lang=se (it might be lang=sv)

If that gets you in ok, then you will need to edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf to get Swedish.

Hi anticapitalista,

And thanks for the quick reply. What I did was just to reinstall the OS from the live-CD. I will however, as you suggest, try to edit xorg.conf to get my native characters to work.

I'm not yet too experienced with Linux myself, but my first impression of antiX is that it's very fast and functional. I am interested in the concept of computer recycling and the e-waste issue, which makes me appreciate the value of operating systems like antiX. Well done!
