I'm confused! The home page says
antiX-M7 will not run (yet) on older processors such as Pentium II (it seems that PII is ok), AMD K5, and AMD K6 as it uses an up to date i686 kernel. antiX-Spartacus should.
What's the difference between a PII and a Pentium-II?

Thanks, as always. __{{emoticon}}__

P=Pentium, same thing. I think M7 will boot on a PII but nothing older. I have it running on a PII-266 just fine.

Err I think I need to change that.

Originally I thought that all PII would not boot with antiX-M7, but was proven wrong (nicely) when people were able to do so.
But some people also posted to say that they couldn't boot, maybe because they had PII MMX?

Mines a PII 266 w/192mg of ram. It originally had 96mg and it booted fine. This box still has the Windows 95 sticker on it. When I found it curbside it had win98 loaded and all the previous owners personal stuff was still there.

For me It ran windows just long enough to find out that it booted. I immediately put in a linux cd and rebooted. Never look back!
