Hi,

When I shut down AntiX it does not power off my computer like for instance SliTaz does. Can I make Antix power off my computer? And if so, please tell me how I can arrange that.

Thanks,

Piedie

Try this: Open a terminal, become root, and enter

Code: Select all

shutdown -h now
and see if that works.

Thanks, but it still does not power off my computer.

When I choose 'Shut down' in Slitaz the last line I see is 'Requesting system power off'. I tried the command poweroff in AntiX but it did not power off my computer. It 'just' halted it.

try adding acpi=force to your menu.lst file. You must be root to edit that file.

like this:

kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda7 nomce acpi=force quiet splash vga=791 resume=/dev/sda5
