Today I successfully used rufus to create an antiX17-b3 liveboot pendrive.
Confusingly, a few weeks ago when I attempted to create antiX17-b2 using rufus... it failed.
A quick investigation revealed the"gotcha" affecting my inconsistent outcomes.
My testing machine has legacy bios & I'm accustomed to selecting the"partition scheme and target system type" in rufus,
but today I discovered that rufus reverts your selection, chooses EFI instead, when you choose a source iso which also contains an EFI bootloader.
For use with legacy bios, a successful outcome requires first selecting the iso source THEN change the"scheme" selectbox immediately prior to pressing Start.
