That is fantastic! I am very happy to hear this; I have been actively promoting antiX with my friends for years now, so it is great to see increased recognition!

Thank you for replying anti and sorry for my delay.

1.) I wasn't referring to the name of the ISO, specifically, but rather to how the distro is referred-to on various sites and forums.

Now that you pointed-out the name of the ISO, I must wonder:

I see that both here and in the Distrowatch entry, as well as in a number of other places, it is simply anti-X. Given this and the fact that antiX has really come unto its own as a distro in its own right-- as you and others have noted and as evidenced now by its own entry on Distrowatch-- perhaps it would make sense to simplify and streamline things by taking 'MEPIS' out of the ISO name?

(Note, though, that OSDisc.com seems to list antix only under the MEPIS section and not under the distros starting with 'A'.)

2.) I hope you won't mind my again asking about the seeming redundancy of having an antiX forum at MEPIS Lover's in addition to this forum.

Is there any significant difference between the two forums? A reason to choose one over the other?

And if not, wouldn't it be simpler and more efficient to consolidate all official antiX forums into one site?

Thanks again for your time and all your work and dedication.

MMMM. More Members at Mepislovers to peruse a problem. As far as isolating myself by choosing one over the other.

I am glad that we have an entry on DistroWatch, but I see no reason to further distance ourselves from MEPIS or the MEPIS Lovers. Both MEPIS and the MEPIS Lovers Forum are two of the best distributions and user community forums around. While we certainly want to go our own direction and have liberty to do as we please, there are definitely benefits in being part of the MEPIS family, and one of them is the great MEPIS Lovers Forum. This is a very good forum, too, but I am not sure that as many people see or read this forum as the MEPIS Lovers Forum. Besides, having two is always a good disaster recover policy! __{{emoticon}}__
