Hello All,

I'm using the open source nvidia driver and was wondering how the"nvidia-driver 340.96-1 meta package" proprietary driver from synaptic works.
Will it install from synaptic and run without problems or any hassles?
Didn't find a driver in Control Centre under meta packages.

I've not used it specifically in antiX, but in a number of other installs I've found the best way to install graphics drivers is sgfxi:

Hey chrispop99,

That is some heavy stuff but sounds doable as long as I do my homework and read it well.

The open source driver works ok but seems to be lacking in the HD rendering so I figure the proprietary driver will do much better.

Maybe you want to look here , too. Sgfxi is realy easy to use and not so complicated as it seems.
