hmm... did you check inxi -G and see if either or both drivers are still loading? (vesa and intel)

I decided to try to install Lubuntu (I could not before) with the info you gave me and it worked! And the mouse is behaving!

So now I will try to get it online.

wish me luck lol

Maybe the 586 kernel (non-pae) will work better on that box. What kernel does Lubuntu use?

I believe it is 4.2.0.16.18 if I am reading the package manager correctly

pertaining to the OPs wireless, try checking for a soft block with

rfkill list all

you should get output similar to this:

Would it be a good idea to copy etc/X11/xorg.conf from your Lubuntu install to the MX-15 install?
You would need to open the file manager as root for that or by sudo pcmanfm on Lubuntu.
