Hi,

I recently bought from Ebay a DVD workshop manual for my Jeep Compass. When it arrived the leaflet said it only works under XP sp3 and IE vers. < 9 , to my intense disgust. There is an install autorun which loads and runs a small .exe, what that does I have no idea.

I can read the DVD with SpaceFM but there seems little data there besides indexes in text form, a few htm's, and a few tiny jpg's and gif's, but certainly not the acres of text and jpg's I was expecting and the DVD is only about 20% written. Maybe the meat is downloaded as and when asked for ? If so I regard it as a fraud.

Is SVG some format particular to Adobe or is it elsewhere in the industry?

Does anybody know of a suitable SVG reader I can download and install on 13.2 Luddite ?

Sincerely, Roland

svg is usually a vector graphic. Mirage and feh should be able to read them. Many icons in linux are svg format.
