How do I get rid of that horrible sounding racket that happens as antiX finishes loading up? That's the most annoying cacaphony of noise I've heard yet on any distro. Other than that, antix is a great little distro, and next to Debian stable, it's the only other one I will consider - SimplyMepis included! I use antiX for everything, it's my main distro, it gets more use than my Debian stable. I just hate that annoying sound on loading up!. I may have to apt-get a few things that I want to have, like Open Office, Amarok, etc., but that's the same in any distro. Like Debian Stable, it fits me, not someone else's idea of what I might want with 4 Gb of useless extras. My thanks to the developer(s) of antiX! A tip o' the hat to ye </ __{{emoticon}}__ __{{emoticon}}__

Hey that sound isn't so bad is it? At least you know your sound card is working __{{emoticon}}__

Ok to get rid of it, in /home/username/.fluxbox/startup /home/username/.icewm/startup files, (found in antiXcc) just comment out the cacophony __{{emoticon}}__ like this:

#play /usr/share/sounds/Pardus_Rocks/Pardus_Rocks-Logout.ogg > /dev/null 2>&1 &
