arrrrrrrrrrrrgh! well, i guess it wasnt meant to be. after 1st restart since apt-get update, and apt-get dist-upgrade all i get is a blank screen. thanks for everyones help. i'll just have to go with puppy or crunchbang for my little X31. at least i have other machines i can run antix on!
