Hi all,
I have a major problem with truecrypt 4.3 on Antix 7.1

The dpkg -i is no problem, everything went fine. Even creating crypted and hidden volumes is no issue.

The point is mounting a crypted volume. Or mounting a crypted partition, drive, etc.

As soon as I type"truecrypt /dev/sdb /home/myhome/folder", it prompts for the password. (which is ok)
After entering the (correct __{{emoticon}}__ ) password, the error message is:

insmod: error inserting '/usr/share/truecrypt/kernel/truecrypt-2.6.22.ko': -1 Invalid module format
FATAL: Error inserting truecrypt (/lib/modules/2.6.22-1-mepis-smp/extra/truecrypt.ko): Invalid module format
Failed to load TrueCrypt kernel module

In this case I tried to mount a USB stick on /dev/sdb to /home/myhome/folder

I tried it with Ubuntu 7.10, Debian Etch, both releases worked fine ,
just Antix 7.1 does not want to support truecrypt.

So any ideas how this issue can be resolved?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not familiar with Truecrypt but you mentioned it worked with Debian Etch. I would check you sources.list and make sure etch is enabled and disable Mepis.

/lib/modules/2.6.22-1-mepis-smp/extra

doesn't exist as a folder.
maybe create it and then re-install truecrypt.
