installed preview1 on desktop with amd semprom and everything is working well. prefer conky on with personal wallpaper and was able to set everything up - although it took a little more work removing rox panels and selecting new wallpaper than previous version (7.1).
altogether an excellent distribution!
have tried most of the larger distributions but they always had more apps included with installation than i ever used. antix has a perfect (for me) set of installed applications that can easily be added to.
congratulations and many thanks to anti and everyone who has worked on antix! you've done excellent work.

note: i tried to install m7.1 on a dell laptop but was not able to get wireless card to work. i will try again with m7.2 preview1 and let you know how it works. laptop uses intel 2200bg card.

Hello kabon, welcome to antiX and thanks for the comments.

The final of antiX-M7.2 will almost certainly not come with rox-desktop set as default, but with the usual fluxbox 'desktop'.
I'm working on a way to offer a choice at login screen of

1. fluxbox no rox-desktop
2. icewm no rox-desktop
3. fluxbox plus rox-desktop
4. icewm plus rox-desktop

But it needs work.

Anyhow, enjoy antiX and feel free to post if you have any problems.

Sorry to hijack, but if you're considering offering a choice of desktops with/without rox, then check over at vector linux. They used to offer these choices a few releases ago - before they chose xfce as the default desktop. I'm sure they'd be willing to help out.
